Ruffles For Spring and Summer: Be A Girly-Girl

I'm feeling a little girly-girl. I'm mad for ruffles this spring and summer.


WhatsWear says ruffles retook the runway and, "were presented in all shapes and sizes." Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Burberry and D&G all showed ruffles in their collections.


Today's ruffles are not big puffy things, they are more sophisticated.


You'll find me in ruffles too. I bought a cream colored cardigan and a pink tee with ruffles. Just lovely.

The Banyan Tree is an elegant shop in Upper Montclair, NJ that features decorative gift accessories for the home. When I visited the store, I planned to showcase some of their home accessories. That is until I saw the tempting display of dog merchandise under The Banyan Tree's cheerful Christmas tree.

Accessories: Scarf it up!

I own so many scarves. I certainly don't need another.

That is until I went shopping last week. I spotted a scarf that looked like it should have a $200 price tag. I pulled it off the shelf.

The scarf is a luxurious green, speckled with yellow and blue yarn. I'd swear it was 100% mohair. I'd swear it was hand-made.

I am not at Bloomingdale's or Barney's, I am in a mall in Paramus, NJ, the king of shopping meccas.

I scarfed it up and I'm sure glad.
